Acrylic and Resin on Board

I paint with a thought more of colour and movement rather than an object or even a subject matter, my art is literally an extension of the artwork style I use for my earrings. However, I am often surprised by the outcome and story that evolves as I paint.

This beautiful and vibrant abstract quite literally came to life with a botanical influence. Years of photography and inspiration from nature seemed to have evolved somehow. Interestingly after completion it reminded me not only of a beautiful bougainvillea I pass every day on the way to work but some large bougainvilleas we had on a property when we were up in the North West.
